I was disappointed when this book arrived and already showed damage to the binding (pages were pulling away from the spine), right from the time I took it out of the shipping container. I intend to mostly have this as a coffee table book, but would have serious concerns on how it would hold up as a "field guide" if taken on hikes or walks and was treated in a more rough manner. But the pictures are very lovely, and that was the biggest selling point for me. Denver. CO

I bought this book because I love butterflies and the description appealed to me. I am so happy I purchased this! It is a perfect book to lay on a coffee table, lay on the bedside table, make available for browsing in the bathroom... The photos are exquisite and the information about the butterflies is more than adequate. The book brings about a sense of relaxation and eases tension just because the photos are so calming and oh so beautiful. For anyone who loves butterflies, this is a must have!
