Museum Story
The Butterfly Habitat Garden located outside the National Museum of Natural History, consists of more than one hundred host and nectar plants, and has as many as thirty species of butterflies. The garden is a collaborative project of the Department of Entomology, the Horticulture Services Division, the Department of Botany, and the Office of Exhibits. The Butterflies + Plants: Partners in Evolution exhibit includes more than 300 butterflies. Our butterfly inspired gifts reflects species in the habitat and exhibit.
