Description
When the U.S. Post Office launched its first airmail service in 1918, it issued a 24-cent stamp to mark the occasion. One sheet of 100 was printed with the Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" biplane upside down. Two of those original stamps—arguably the most coveted by collectors—are in the collection of the National Postal Museum. This navy cotton T-shirt shows the stamp image on the back, with the National Postal Museum name on the left chest.
