Luxuriate in comfy, floral splendor. Beautifully printed with generous garlands of gorgeous blooms, this feminine robe is fashioned in smooth cotton sateen. This Flowers in Bloom Yukata is artisan made in the ancient city of Kyoto, Japan. (Included belt ships inside one of the sleeves.) 100% cotton sateen print. Pink.

Museum Story

Yukata are casual kimono made of cotton. Originally worn as bathhouse robes, in modern Japan yukata are worn to special events in summer or at home as comfy lounging robes. Our beautiful and authentic collection—which is artisan made in the ancient city of Kyoto, Japan—celebrates kimono-themed artworks at our Freer|Sackler Galleries of Art.

The sleeves took a little figuring out but I am enjoying using both this pink and the navy kimonos; comfortable and a perfect fit!

I took a chance and purchased a size small for a tiny friend - it was too long, but they absolutely LOVED the gift and have already shortened it. I did not take the garment out of the bag before giving since it would not be easy to fold back into it, but the quality of the fabric and print looked great. I am tempted to purchase one for myself. The gift was a HUGE success.

Ordered for my wife as a Christmas present. She normally wears a large. This gown is almost one foot too long. No easy way to return.

I purchased two Yukata for my young adult granddaughters, and we were all impressed by the silky feel of the cotton and the quality of construction. They were so thrilled, they wore them the rest of Christmas Day. They are 5'7", and the length was perfect.

Recipient is very pleased. Color is bright, feminine. Robe is elegant and exotic. She is 5'5" and the Small is touching the top of her feet - to give you an idea of the length.

Gorgeous yukata, but even though I ordered down a size (XL to L) it was still a couple of inches too long (I'm 5'5").
