This Long Princess Yukata celebrates historic yukatas in our Asian ethnological collection at our National Museum of Natural History. Representing the cultures of Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and the eastern Mediterranean, the collection includes crafts, religious art, jewelry and clothing.

I love the color and the style of the Princess Yakuta; but I am seriously THRILLED that I ordered an extra large! I purchased a sweater a month earlier and again ordered XL to be safe. That item is absolutely huge! I could share it with another person easily. It is difficult to know how sizes run when you are purchasing online. The sweater may go to a larger friend as a result. The robe is a bit snug but wearable. It is an incentive to lose a few inches.

I think this robe is very nice. I love the color. I bought it in a Small and it fits great. I am 5'5" and it hits my ankle. If you are shorter you might have to have it shortened. I would love to buy it in another color, but the shipping is very expensive. I have not washed it yet, so I don't know about shrinkage.

I'm 5'7" and ordered size small. It was the right size, the correct length. I love the kimono and the way it feels. I will be wearing it as a home dress especially during hot New York summers. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
