Yukata are known as summer kimonos when they're dressed up for special events, and they're just as fantastic as a spa robe or for lounging at home. Here a variety of traditional Japanese patterns are printed in tone-on-tone turquoise amid a design of pink cherry blossoms, sakura in Japanese. These gorgeous but short-lived flowers are symbols of new beginnings and living in the moment, and they're one of Washington, D.C.'s most recognizable springtime sights.
