The semi-precious beads, themselves, are lovely--good quality and color, even size. But they have been strung on inexpensive elastic cord that does not always match or complement the color of the beads. When I received the set, one of the rose quartz beads was shattered, and Smithsonian did a great job getting me a replacement at no charge in a very timely manner. However, to do this they had to re-charge and then credit my account, and the emails I received about this were worded in a confusing manner. Martinez, CA
