From jazz to hip hop, from brave airmen to bold civil rights leaders, some of the nation's most important artifacts of African American history are represented in this all-over print celebrating the National Museum of African American History & Culture. The cute ringer-neck style is made with some of the softest and most luxurious pima cotton on the planet. Produced in small batches in a female-run factory in Peru using 100% Peruvian pima cotton. The naturally hypoallergenic and chemical free fabric is soft and gentle on your little one's sensitive skin.

Museum Story

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the nation's largest and most comprehensive cultural destination devoted exclusively to exploring, documenting, and showcasing the African American story and its impact on American and world history. Established by an Act of Congress in 2003, it is the culmination of decades of efforts to establish a national museum that promotes and highlights the contributions of African Americans. To date, the Museum has collected close to 37,000 objects.

Created in collaboration with Joy Street Kids

Joy Street Kids is a small, Boston-based kids pajama and apparel brand. Each and every Joy Street Kids print is hand-drawn and designed with love by founder and mom, Eliza Ferrel. The collection is produced at a small-batch, female run factory in Peru using the coziest Pima Cotton on the market.

Eliza's thematic and location-based prints are intended to spark conversation and discovery. Children and adults alike will learn about the Smithsonian through exploring the icons, elements, and riddles scattered throughout each print.
