Museum Story

The cast skeletons of Jurassic titans—including the herbivore Triceratops and the carnivore Tyrannosaurus rex—face off in our National Museum of Natural History’s Dinosaur Hall, which also features an extensive collection of fossilized skeletons and cast models. The Triceratops exhibit uses scanning and digital technology to show the first accurate dinosaur skeleton in virtual motion.

This is a gift for a very bright 3 1/2 year old who carries on scientific conversations about dinosaurs with anyone who is interested, including his friends. I predict he will love this. It engages adults, too, which means he and his parents will probably play with it together. He is on the young end of the age recommendation, but this toy will be "right" for him, I'm quite sure. I was disappointed to find the speaker was on the back. For young ones, it would be more clear If they could have the sound coming directly to them. Understanding of the words would be easier. Minneapolis

The Dino Tablet is definitely a kid's toy with limited play value. Once a child has pushed all the buttons and exercised the functions there is nothing new he/she can do with it. One plus, some of the facts presented are unusual and interesting. It would be a value at about one-half the price. Ohio
