Description
Obsessed with dots and nets patterns from an early age, artist Yayoi Kusama incorporates them into motifs of pumpkins, flowers, shoes, and even herself. Here her pumpkin pattern and "infinity nets" decorate a flat-woven cotton towel, or tengui in Japan, where such cloths are used as hand towels, head bands, placemats, for wrapping presents, or displayed as framed artwork.
