Delightful guide or exquisite remembrance, Venice Sketchbook is an artistic homage which celebrates Venice’s grand architecture and hidden charms through the watercolor paintings and pencil sketches of artist Fabrice Moireau. Organized by sector, chapters begin with fascinating commentary about the area’s sights. Introduction by University of Cambridge Professor Emerita Deborah Howard offers a concise architectural history.
For more than 700 years, Venetian glass has remained unrivaled in artistry, innovation and beauty. Like treasured mementos of American sojourns in Italy, this celebrates the many fine examples of Murano and Venetian glass curated by our National Museum of American History.

"Being an avid traveler and having been to Venice on two occasions, this sketch pad, beautiful water colors, and stories immediately brought me back to the Grand Canal, centuries old architeture, San Marco plaza, leaning towers, the Rialto Bridge, the many calles and the gondolas. I sat down with a cup of tea, reflected on and reminisced of my wonderful experiences there. Magnifico!"
