I don't write bad reviews but this one boils my blood for $80. For starters, it needs an AC charging port or a rechargeable battery for the price of $80. The projecting lights are very weak. Room needs to be completely dark for pictures to be seen. The stand rotates freely with no gears for you to choose a desired angle. The pictures are not integrated in the projector. You have to manually stick in one of the provided disks, turn it manually by your fingers to see pictures on the disk. I mean, that's very obsolete. For $80, It needed to be a video or if not video, the pictures needed to be changing by itself after a select number of seconds. It could've been a good space learning kit for kids. Hopefully they come up with something modern! I love the museum but I'm not sure I'll be buying anything there again until proving to be of high quality and practical.

My First Grade son received this as a gift after showing a lot of interest in space. He absolutely loves this projector, and it's a big part of his bedtime ritual. Would automatic slide changing be nice? Sure. Is it necessary? Not really. I look at it as a positive, as he gets to spend more time talking about what he sees, and isn't distracted by slide changes. Thanks for making a great product. St. Louis, MO

There were no reviews when I purchased this item as a gift for my niece who loves the planets/stars. I agree with the other review. Manual advancement poor - requires an adult to make sure it is not broken after the first use. Images: okay but way too few to hold a child's attention for long. My niece who is five years old was bored with it after she looked at 3 times and most of the images she already knew. Disappointed especially for $80. Vero Beach, FL

The projector seemed sturdy enough, and was easy to assemble. The recipient of this gift loved the planetary images and the rotating star pattern. I was disappointed that you have to manually turn the disc to see the different images. This takes away from the purpose of the projector. There should also be more discs available. New Orleans, LA
