Smithsonian Institution Exclusive

These Smithsonian La Princesse Pierced Earrings feature hand-painted porcelain beads, hematite and rhodonite accents. Sterling silver findings. Assembled in the U.S.A. Natural variations will occur.
Flowers and other motifs from the garments, screens, and fans depicted in James McNeill Whistler’s painting The Princess from the Land of Porcelain (La Princesse du la pays de la porcelaine) are reprised in this exquisite Smithsonian La Princesse Pierced Earrings. Held in the collections of our Freer Gallery of Art, and on display in the Peacock Room, this 1863-64 painting portrays Christine Spartali, a noted beauty of the 1860s.
