Truly a wearable work of art, the sunface pin/pendant of this Navajo Silver Sunface Pin/Pendant Necklace is a three dimensional piece that depicts different masks from Native American Kachinas. Handcrafted by award-winning Navajo silversmith Nelson Morgan, the hand-stamped pueblo design with cut-outs near the base of the pin/pendant is accented by native corn. Wear the pin/pendant alone or suspended from the included sterling silver box chain necklace with spring ring clasp. Heavy sterling silver. Handcrafted in the U.S.A. Individually crafted pendant assures each pin/pendant is unique.
The artistic elegance of this Navajo Silver Sunface Pin/Pendant Necklace derives from its finely hand-stamped designs, each line of which was struck one-at-a-time with a home-made die and hand hammer. Metalsmiths before they were silver artisans, Navajo jewelry makers used Mexican leather tools before commercially-made stamps became available. The National Museum of the American Indian curates numerous examples of finely hand-stamped Navajo sterling silver jewelry.
20"l. Necklace with 2.75"l. pendant.

"If you are looking for something unique that you won't find in your local mall, this is for you. Be advised that the pendant is rather large --- over three inches in length and about one and a half inches at its widest part. It's a real conversation started."
