We regret that this item is not available at this time.
Navajo silversmiths and spouses Carol and Wilson Begay created this stunning Navajo Narrow Tufa-Cast Silver and Spiny Oyster Cuff Bracelet by pouring molten silver into a hand-carved tufa-rock mold. Understated and elegant, the hand-finished Navajo Narrow Tufa-Cast Silver and Spiny Oyster Cuff Bracelet was then set with an exquisite oval cabochon of orange spiny oyster. Handcrafted in the U.S.A. Naturally occurring spiny oyster and the individually crafted silver design assure each bracelet is unique.
The beautiful, polished cabochon embellishing this Navajo Narrow Tufa-Cast Silver and Spiny Oyster Cuff Bracelet is fashioned from the shell of unusual spiky bivalves, commonly known as spiny oysters. Found in the Gulf of California and along the Pacific coast, spiny oyster shells with their extravagant range of colors (purple to orange, red and yellow) have been used in Native American jewelry for centuries. Several of the hundreds of pieces of silver Navajo jewelry curated by our National Museum of the American Indian feature shell adornments.
