We regret that this item is not available at this time.
Navajo silversmith Julien Begay has designed these Navajo Kingman Turquoise Silver Feather Pierced Earrings as stylized conchas from which dangle 3 hand-stamped feathers. Accenting the stylized conchas and adorning the feathers of these Navajo Kingman Turquoise Silver Feather Pierced Earrings are Kingman turquoise center stones and petite nuggets originally unearthed from ancient Kingman area mines in northwest Arizona. Kingman turquoise is known for its blue hues and light-brown-to-black matrices. Sterling silver. Handcrafted in the U.S.A. Naturally occurring turquoise variations and individually crafted settings assure each pair of earrings is unique.
The Kingman mine that produced the turquoise for these Navajo Kingman Turquoise Silver Feather Pierced Earrings was first worked by ancient Native American civilizations. Rediscovered in the 1880s, Navajo hammers and polishing tools were found there along with Native American hammers from 600 CE. Among the hundreds of Navajo jewelry pieces curated by the National Museum of the American Indian are many bracelets and rings adorned with Kingman Turquoise gems.
