The culmination of a career-long endeavor, award-winning photographer Tim Flach’s photography in More Than Human amazes, inspires, explores our bond with animals, and ultimately lets us see animals as they have never been seen before. His wonderful photographic menagerie includes bats, porcupines, owls, and so many more. Accompanying Flach’s spectacular images in More Than Human is a collection of texts, written and edited by author Lewis Blackwell.
The Smithsonian’s National Zoo features a series of habitats in which their extraordinary animals thrive, including many of the animals explored in More Than Human. Elephant Trails is home to its 6 Asian elephants, and the Giant Panda Habitat provides a home for 4 Giant Pandas. The American Trail exhibit includes a pair of wolves, while the Small Mammal House provides a habitat for the North Amercian Porcupine.
