Mary Antonio Seed Pot
Item #80671
Tell A Friend
Acoma Pueblo artist Mary Antonio formed this eye-catching seed pot from coils of locally gathered clay. A one-of-a-kind work of art, she hand painted the contrasting geometric designs with naturally tinted black and white clay slips. Finally, she fired the pot over an open pit kiln. Signed by the artist. Handcrafted in New Mexico.
Also known as seed jars, a number of Acoma Pueblo seed pots are included in the collections of our National Museum of the American Indian.
