Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 Beautiful gift for skier

I bought this as a gift for a 12-year-old girl who is an avid skier. It is a beautiful pin. The stones are colorful and sparkly; the clasp seems well-mounted. It captures the feeling of motion a skier enjoys. Perfect winter pin for an adult or a child who enjoys skiing. As with all Smithsonian items, there is a good description on the website and it comes with a description of the relevant Smithsonian collection printed on good quality paper stock to enclose with the gift.

Also the pose is that of a ski-jumper, not a downhill racer. Who is writing these inaccurate reviews? Moab, UT

Received this brooch for Christmas 2020. Pinned it on my sweater carefully, because every other brooch my husband has bought me from Smithsonian has had to have the catch, pin, swivel or all replaced (at a cost more than the brooch) when they have snapped right off when wearing. When I went to show off the brooch on Zoom to family, it fell off my sweater when I held the fabric up. Yup, the catch was completely missing. Newmarket, ON
