Description

Dorene Calabaza, a Santo Domingo Pueblo artisan in New Mexico, creates this multicolored heishi bead necklace in traditional landscape hues of green, coral, tan, turquoise, ivory, and black. Heishi are small cylindrical beads made from shells that, centuries ago, Pueblo Indians obtained in trade from the Gulf of California. The color sequence will vary in each one-of-a-kind necklace.

This jewelry item comes packaged in a white box (pictured).
