Bought this as a gift for my older brother for his birthday in June so I'm storing it for now. Our father was an engineer on the D&H RR for 43 yrs and we were brought up with toy and real trains to play with. I remember my brother having a toy train just like this one and wanted to get him one for his birthday to bring back wonderful memories. Our father has since passed 16 yrs, but we keep him close by buying toy trains.

I bought one of these for each man in the family--I know they are going to have a ball playing with it. The Grandpas in the family will enjoy showing it to their grandchildren. The "grown up" boys will just have fun watching it go!

I bought this train a few years ago for my nephew. It was awesome, moved like a speeding bullet. I bought one this year for my own family. Very disappointed -- it moves like it has arthritis. Seems like I got a defective one this time.
