Unlike tigers living in the wild, this cute plush stuffed Tiger Cuddlekin is as tame as a kitten. And surprisingly, since real tigers tend to live alone, this cuddly beauty looks as though family life would put an imaginary smile on its face. Exceptionally realistic, incredibly soft and very, very squeeze-able, this plush stuffed Tiger Cuddlekin makes the perfect addition to anyone’s stuffed animal zoo. Non-toxic materials—polyester plush exterior, polyethylene pellet interior and lock washer eyes—meet or exceed U.S. safety standards. Surface-washable. Imported. Ages 3 and up.  12"l. x 5.5"w. x 7"h.

Museum Provenance

Mammals, which include human beings, are one class of warm-blooded vertebrate animals that have evolved and adapted to our planet. The Kenneth E. Behring Family Hall of Mammals at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History explores the diversity of some 274 mammals and how they originated and adapted to changing landscapes and environments over the last 225 million years—from polar to desert regions and from dry to humid environments. The largest member of the cat family, the tiger can grow to more than 10 feet in length and weigh up to more than 650 pounds. Easily recognizable by its orange to brownish yellow coat to white, tigers are vividly patterned with black or brown stripes.

Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
