With blue eyes and a pink nose, this exotic, plush stuffed White Tiger Cuddlekin is hoping you will invite him or her to share your habitat. In the wild, tigers like to eat medium sized animals. At your home, this plush stuffed white tiger will happily subsist on snuggles alone. Exceptionally realistic shape and markings with velvety soft faux fur. Non-toxic materials—polyester plush exterior, polyethylene pellet interior and lock washer eyes—meet or exceed U.S. safety standards. Surface-washable. Imported. Ages 3 and up.  12"l. x 5"w. x 6.5"h.

Museum Provenance

Mammals, which include human beings, are one class of warm-blooded vertebrate animals that have evolved and adapted to our planet. The Kenneth E. Behring Family Hall of Mammals at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History explores the diversity of some 274 mammals and how they originated and adapted to changing landscapes and environments over the last 225 million years—from polar to desert regions and from dry to humid environments. The largest member of the cat family, the tiger can grow to more than 10 feet in length and weigh up to more than 650 pounds. The pigmentation of white tigers represents a mutation of the Bengal Tiger subspecies, which lives primarily in India and Bangladesh.

Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
