This Bear Pianist Music Box is inspired by music boxes with whimsical themes and motifs in our Division of Home and Community Life, National Museum of American History, Behring Center. A number of different household items with Christmas themes—including snapshots, toys and decorations—are housed in our Division of Home and Community Life, which is responsible for the collection, care and preservation of more than three million objects. The collections reflect the breadth, depth and complexity of the experiences of the American people, from social and cultural history to the history of science, medicine and technology.
