Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.

I bought this for my daughter who spent a year in Rome. She took lots of photos, but didn't purchase anything for herself. So, when I saw this, it reminded me of her visit to Murano and how she watched glassblowers in action. When she opened her present, she immediately knew where it came from and was so pleased.
