Twist-Handle Glass Basket

This exceptionally graceful Twist-Handle Glass Basket is an American legacy. Handcrafted by Mosser Glass of Ohio, a family-owned and -operated glassworks established in 1971, the flared basket is hand-pressed in an original American Fostoria mould, then hand-fitted with a graceful twist handle. Beautiful filled with candy, floating blossoms or simply on its own.  8.5"h. x 8.5"l. x 6"w.

Museum Provenance

Recalls decorative pieces in our American History Museum’s glass collection. During WWII, Americans were encouraged to plant home "victory gardens" to ensure there was enough commercially-produced produce for our troops. That extraordinarily successful volunteer effort is acknowledged today at our American History Museum's Victory Garden, where over fifty classic plants and vegetable varieties are planted.
