Museum Provenance

Turtles in various media are represented in our Asian ethnological collection, National Museum of Natural History, which includes over 30,000 objects. The cultures of Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan and the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and the eastern Mediterranean are all represented. The collection includes crafts, religious art, musical instruments, tools, jewelry, furniture, household items and clothing.
