Museum Provenance

Not only are narcissi cultivated in our Mary Livingston Ripley and Heirloom Gardens, but numerous narcissi specimens are curated by the Botany Department of our National Museum of Natural History. Additionally, a number of photographs of blooming narcissi are included in our Archives of American Gardens.

Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
