Castle Key Paperweights
|A Smithsonian Institution Exclusive|
Each sold separately. The functional beauty of these Castle Key Paperweights is distinguished by different bit shapes, bow motifs and metal finishes. The Twin Fish paperweight is finished in antique brass. The Fleur-De-Lys paperweight with “E” shaped bit is finished in antique copper. All barrels are discreetly emblazoned with the Smithsonian logo. Zinc alloy.
These distinctive Smithsonian accessories are adaptations of actual antique furniture keys in the Smithsonian’s Castle Collection—which includes more than 1,600 pieces of furniture dating primarily from 1840-1880 when the Castle was originally built and furnished for use as the Smithsonian’s first museum.
Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
