The necklace is so pretty and fits in with the southwestern style. A lot heavier than I expected though. This is no light-weight necklace.
I like the easy clasp - easy for one person to hook if no one else is around to help, but the first time of unhooking it was tough. I had to bend the little hook open just a bit - now it's easy as pie.

I bought the necklace, bracelet and earnings for myself. But I am going to give the three-stranded necklace to someone who is a lot taller than I am (5' 5"). It needs a taller person to carry it off. Alternatively, I considered removing one strand. But it is a pretty necklace as it is and will look much better on someone taller. Color is good and is as shown in the picture. Necklace clasp strong.

I'm a sort-of turquoise collector, and I wanted to see and feel the difference between turquoise and this mineral that the unscrupulous or the ignorant often sell as turquoise. Howlite has a different feel and not much matrix, but it's a very good color and I couldn't afford a turquoise necklace with two strands of beads.
