This said it could hold fish, frogs, lizards, triops, and bugs. It came with triop eggs, a tiny habitat, and a bad bug catcher. NO HEATER. YOU CAN"T PUT FROGS OR LIZARDS IN SOME PLACE WITHOUT A HEATER. and no plants or decor either. I wasted 30 dollars on this for my little brother. Oh and the "Ant Farm" Doesn't come with any ant food. Just a 2 by 2 inch thing.

should be designed better and come with better creatures.

maybe a mailer for ants or other bugs. or a coupon for fish or something at petco.

even with tape and super glue this just won't hold together. not sure what to do with it now. expected much more and not sure whom to complain to customer service wise.

You have to use tape to get it to hold (says so in the instructions actually) very hard to get to stay together even with the tape.
Plus, you are supposed to use water in this, so tape + water = fall apart.
The things that hatched are NOT triops. Some strange tailess bug looking creatures and sea monkeys (love sea monkeys, but we wanted the triops and it does not come with sea monkey or weird water bug food!)
The tunnels fall off eaisly (come on people a little rubber or some sort of o ring would make a world of difference here!) and critters can get out and crawl about your house... plus there is no way to block them from visiting each other. It does show on the box they can, and that is fine, but I think there ought to be a way to choose if you want to or not...
This is poorly made. The box makes it look great. I am sorry I showed it to my daughter and she bought it with her money. sigh...

DON'T BUY THIS!!

p.s. those who gave it more than 1 star gave this as a gift and did not use it themselves...

NO Good You cannot clean the fish tank without ants getting out. Will not stay together, no information on how to big ant hill or how to order items for an ant hill. My granddaughter was very disappointed with her christmas gift. I will now be buying her a seperate ant hill kit and fish tank.

I bought 2 of these as a gift for both of my children's teachers this year! They are using them as their class "pets", as well as for special projects.

Do not waste your money. It is VERY cheaply made. Pieces do not fit together well. Designed very poorly. Falls completely appart when you barely touch it. DO NOT BUY! We are returning ours. Thank God I have the reciept. The part that angers me the most is that this is actually a product that is NOT made in China! Piece of c rap.

My grandsons and I were disappointed in this product. The triops did not hatch and there were no directions on how to assemble the rainforest or the bug chamber. Once assembled, the parts easily separated. My grandsons were initially excited to receive this gift, but it went into the trash after a month of unsuccesful attempts to hatch the triops and the other chambers were useless because we couldn't figure out how to fit them out.

This was given to us as a gift and we've really enjoyed it. We caught a little tree frog and it seems to have adjusted to the cage well, though the cage seems a little small. It's great how the different habitats are all separate but connected, so everything can have it's own "home base" where you can put their food. I've had Triops before and know they're a lot of fun. I wish there had been a little coupon in it for 25 or so ants, but there wasn't (though there was a Triops coupon).
