I just read a novel; "EYE OF THE GOD" about the HOPE DIAMOND. The next day the Smithsonian catalog arrived in the mail, I took it as a sign to buy the replica for myself. I have worn the brooch on my coat, and I cannot remember how many comments and compliments I have received from friends and strangers. The brooch has given me great pleasure to wear, and has given me the opportunity to meet new people when they ask about it and I tell them where they can order one for themselves.

Mrs. C. Hubbard Williams purchased the "Hope Diamond" from Harry Winston in about 1954-55. Sale was rescinded when suit was brought on her behalf(As an incompetent). She did leave The"Indian Necklace" which is in the permanent collection. Winston then donated the "Hope" to Smithsonian at double the price he had sold to Mrs. Williams(Nice deduction)! She was my mother-in-law. This will be a present for a great granddaughter. Britton Murdoch

I have been interested in the Hope Diamond since I was a kid. I found this and ordered it right away. I am pleased with the purchase. It is an EXACT replica of the Hope Diamond. The dimensions are right on. Look them up and get out your ruler if you plan to purchase it. The facets are dead on as well as the irregular shape of the blue gem. The Hope Diamond is not a perfect cushion cut oval. It is more flat on one side than it is on the other. If you look at the French Blue diamond before it was recut into the Hope, you can see why it is irregular as they tried to save as much material as possible in the new cut gem. The surrounding sixteen diamonds are close to the Cartier designed setting. You will be pleased. The only thing I was not happy about is the description states it is cut glass, however, it is molded glass with rounded edges on each facet as opposed to sharp angles if it were truly cut glass. But looking at the picture, I thought it might be so. This will be going in my display cabinet as a display item. I am very please with the purchase.

Got this as a gift from my husband last Christmas. I wear this pin on a chain and receive compliments on it every time that I wear it. Wear it on a white top with navy blue suit.

On a business trip to DC I called my wife and told her I was looking at the Hope Diamond. She said go to the gift shop and get me one.

I thought she was kidding, but when I came home without it, she was disappointed. So I ordered her one as one of her birthday presents. I thought it would be kind of a "gag" gift, but she loves it! She wears it all the time.

I'm not a big jewelry kinda guy, I have a wedding ring and a watch, and that's it. So this whole "sparkly" thing is a bit beyond me, but all that matters is that she thought it was great.

I am a paranormal investigator and using this as a display piece in a hotel that an owner of the real Hope Diamond was born. May Yohe.
It looks and feels like the original. The only disappointing part is that they don't have a replica of the necklace that held the diamond. It can only be used as a pin or added to a neclklace if you have jewelry making skills.
I am pleased with it's close design to the original whereas others I have seen on the internet didn't come close. Buy it here.
