This is a beautiful necklace! The pendant is a beautiful gold, with the lapis and blue and green enamel painted areas, The blue beads of the necklace are the exact same color as the lapis. I have received compliments each time I have worn the necklace.

Pendant Necklace is nice but not a standout. Personally I think it is too busy when seen in person. I will probably wear the pendant separately on a gold chain; since it is quite pretty and well made, and goes perfectly with existing gold filigree earrings. The glass beads can be worn separately for a casual look and look good with a jeans jacket and white blouse or T-shirt. As I bought this item on sale, I am keeping it since it can serve three separate and different looks, but this item in not one my absolute favorites from my Smithsonian collection.

For my daughter's birthday I chose this lovely necklace because of the colors and style. It has a magnetic clasp which makes it difficult to extend it a couple of inches which would be a more practical and a more stylish length. Please don't let the length keep you from purchasing this versatile necklace. If earrings had been offered I would have purchased them also. My daughter was delightfuly pleased.
