I love these mugs!! They are different and attractive. I bought two sets, one for my daughter (she loves them too) and one for myself! They make a wonderful gift and have a clean look to them and the spoons are an added bonus.

Absolutely love these mugs! They offer a distinctive and an extremely attractive design coupled with great functionality (e.g., good size, comfortable to hold, temperature retention is fine, and, for tea, not far off my usual porcelain china preference - plus with the bonus of being dishwasher safe). Purchased as a gift but liked so much immediately ordered my own set.

I travel often to Africa for work and I am terrible about bringing things back as gifts, so I was excited to see these mugs and thought my coffee drinking brother and his family would love them. I was upset to learn that they were made in China and that it was stamped all over everything. I would not have purchased them as a reference to my Africa work travel if I had know they were made in China. They are great mugs but I expect better from the Smithsonian.

Great designs, but smaller than I thought they would be. Gave as a gift to my college-aged daughter for her apartment, but she wan't impressed. So unfortunately, they went back.
