First produced between 1850 and 1910, American pressed glass regained popularity during the Great Depression due to its affordability and cheerful colors. The aquamarine and peridot hues of this Vintage Pattern-Glass Cake Stand set highlight their contrasting patterns—fluted pedestals, scroll-motif rims and diamond-point centers. Pressed glass. Hand wash. Set comes with one small, one medium, and one large. Small, 3"h. x 6"dia.; Medium, 3"h. x 9"dia.; Large, 3.5" x 11.5"dia.
A pattern also featured on a mid-19th-century, American-made goblet in our Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.
