This a beautiful candle holder! I bought it as it is my birthstone. It is sturdy, attractive, and good value for the price. It makes me smile when I see it.

Comments about Amethyst Blossom Votive Holder:
This piece is being used as a companion piece to a rather large Amethyst that I bought years ago at the Smithsonian gift store. Yes, there were a couple of lose stones on the bottom, but nothing a little gorilla glue couldn't handle. I would like to have a cathedral amethyst to round out my collection. Will keep visiting the Smithsonian and looking on line!

I already have one like this in citrine that I purchased at a gem and fossil show. These are not easy to find. I was thrilled when it arrived today. It looks very much like the photo! I collect natural gemstones and this is a great addition!

Comments about Amethyst Blossom Votive Holder:
I love Amethyst and thought this would be really pretty with light from a candle reflecting off the crystals. I guess I was expecting a single multifaceted crystal that was craved & polished, but instead it's a bunch of very small crystals that have been glued together. You can see the glue between each crystal and it looks like glue may have dripped on the polished crystals cause they are very dull looking. Oh well, another donation to the Smithsonian I guess.

Comments about Amethyst Blossom Votive Holder:
I did not realize this product was individual crystals bonded together; I do not know how durable it will be. I was hoping / assuming it was cut from one stone. Nonetheless, it is very attractive, and each is a one-of-a-kind (I purchased 3.) Standard tea candles fit perfectly.

Comments about Amethyst Blossom Votive Holder:
This is an attractive decorative piece, but quite honestly, one could find a similar item at other specialty stores for a bit less- especially in this cost-conscious economy. Nonetheless, I thought it was both unique and pretty and have it in my living room. A small, insertable votive fits nicely into the holder. It does have a very nice glow when lit!

Comments about Amethyst Blossom Votive Holder:
When I took it out of the box, the bottom fell off. The separate piece and the bottom of the item are both sticky -- but not sticky enough to stay together. Additionally, all of the amethyst crystals are somewhat loosely attached -- they can be moved. I thought it was a solid crystalline object, not a glued together construction. I will attempt to reattach the two pieces. I agree with the other reviewer--if it is not handled, it will be acceptable. It is not quite as nice as I had hoped. I reccently lost my husband, whose birthday was in February--birthstone==amethyst. I thought it would be a nice remembrance. I am a Smithsonian member, and I was very disappointed. It makes me wonder if the product was quality checked before it was made available for purchase.
