I bought this gift for my adult son. He travels frequently and when our family is planning an event it helps him to have a current and future calendar on hand at his desk. The magnifying glass makes this gift dual purpose. While he is young now, sometime in the next 40 years he may need "reading glasses".
The design is attractive and the weight even adds a third use, paperweight, though not uncomfortably heavy when using as a magnifier or calendar.
He is also a gadget lover and this one needs no batteries!
