This is a nice attractive product giving you hours of fun simply watching the way the sand flows down. The disappointing thing was that the hour glass does not move up in a smooth manner...sort of keeps knocking on the side and makes a distracting noise.

I thought this would be glass, but it is plastic. I thought the timer would move slowly up the glass, it doen't. The timer floats to the top of the "glass" as soon as it is turned over.
Would have sent it back but cost too much.
Guess I don't have to worry too much about grandchildren plalying with it.
