If the flying wing, or delta-shaped, profile of the military aircraft B-2 Stealth Bomber makes it a superior long-range, high-altitude jet, imagine the possibilities for a wing-shaped or Delta Kite. Equally appealing to young and old, this Stealth Bomber Kite will be appreciated by military service members, regardless of service affiliation of aspiration, as well as a grateful nation. A breeze to assemble, this Stealth Bomber Delta Kite is especially easy for first time kite flyers to maneuver. Nylon with fiberglass frame and wood dowels. Winder and 300 feet of 30 pound test line included. Wind range: 5-18 mph. Ages 6 and up. 56" x 28"
Bill Bennett’s Delta Wing Model 162, a manned delta kite which led to the development of manned hang gliders, is on view in the Boeing Aviation Hangar of the National Air and Space Museum’s Stephen F. Udvar-Hazy Center. The annual Washington D.C. Kite Festival was sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution for 44 years, with its last sponsorship occurring in 2010.
