I love my silver locket that my husband got me a few years ago from the Smithsonian store. I teach children of our military in Brussels, Belgium, and I love being able to show them pictures of my grandchildren, that I wear close to my heart. When I go visit the grandchildren in Texas, I always wear it, so they can be reminded that Grammy holds them close. I love my locket so much, that I wanted to give one to my son's wives, and their moms, and my best friends, and on and on! Thank you so much for offering this beautiful locket!

Lovely locket arrived this morning, very excited, opened the locket...Oh dear! how do you fix the photos in it, I can not see how to fit a photo under the little border which four of the circles have the outer two do not have anyway at all of securing a photo....it has me !!!

I have learnt something today....read the reviews before buying, if I had done that I would have seen that one customer had mentioned the problem of inserting photos.

On the positive side, it is a lovely locket ....just not a functional photo locket.
If you are just looking for a locket then by all means go ahead and buy it, it is value for money just ,don't expect to put photos in it.

I saw this locket awhile ago in the Smithsonian Catalog and then it was gone. When I saw it advertised again I ordered it right away. I have my children and grandchildren in the locket and wear it all the time.

It's beautiful and has room for SIX picture spaces.... perfect for me.

I love, love, love it.

I Love my Smithsonian Silver Photo Locket! My kids are always "close to my heart". I teach children of our military heroes, and when I went to order a necklace, for one of my parents, whose husband was deployed again, I found out that it went up by $25.00...that makes it a bit hard to share as a gift. If it was still in the $50 range, I'd order a bunch. Makes me a bit sad, but I will always cherish mine.

This is a gift for my sister who is helping me post-surgery. I thought it appropriate since she now has two grandchildren born a month apart. It is smaller than I thought it would be but absolutely a perfect piece a jewelry.

I love the idea of the locket, but I have yet to figure out how the photos are supposed to stay in the locket. Don't want to have to glue the photos in.
