Featherweight, hand-dyed silk forms a delicately threaded mosaic creating the illusion of a jewel-toned, stained glass collage. Made in the USA.

It's just beautiful but may be too short for my frame/build and from what I expected and I am not sure it will look quite right on me -- perhaps too dressy for my usually look. I wrote the Artist asking how best to wear it and she said to let it hang without tying it. I think I will give it a try on an all black outfit.

Comments about Silk Mosaic Scarf:
This scarf is a work of art. The little silk squares of many colors mean that the scarf will go with many outfits -- and polish them off in style!
I worry a bit about the fragility of the piece, but I guess that makes it more 'special'.

I gave this to my niece who has a 6-year-old boy, and she thought it might be too destructible for her.

Comments about Silk Mosaic Scarf:
After reading some of the reviews, I found the workmanship superb, and the thread used does not seem to tear. I assume, if it's worn with dangling earrings, it may catch, but no different than any other scarf or garment; crocheted or knitted. I certainly wouldn't let my cat play with this one.
I liked the presentation of the clear cellophane envelope. It really brings out the colors at first glance. If someone wants it in a box, I'm sure you can just ask for a gift box.
The length is perfect for my height. If you are tall, I would certainly ask it there are longer ones available. I have a friend who bought one at another gallery, and she has it in a longer length than mine.

Comments about Silk Mosaic Scarf:
The scarf was far too delicate to wear to work. Too many possibilities of catching a thread or fabric and ruining the scarf.

Comments about Silk Mosaic Scarf:
This scarf is drop-dead gorgeous. Silk is so lustrous and holds color so well. The jewel tones just shine. The design is very open - it's not a print, it's slik squares held to the frame by thread. My only quibble is that the scarf comes in a glassine envelope, not a box. This beautiful scarf merits a more appropriate and elegant presentation. Fortunately, a box can be found.

Comments about Silk Mosaic Scarf:
I was very disappointed with the packaging of the silk scarf. It was a costly item & came packaged in a cellophane rumpled bag. I expected it would at least be in something acceptable for gift giving. Thank you, Kathy Kellogg

Comments about Silk Mosaic Scarf:
I was a bit trepidatious ordering this scarf after reading how delicate it was. It definitely is, but the extra care required (I took all jewelry off and put my hair up to arrange it properly around my dress so as not to inadvertently snag the threads holding the silk squares) is worth the effect. It is a show stopper accessory and with all the colors works beautifully with so many colors. I have a dark plum knit dress from Land's End that would normally be hard to accessorize with a scarf, and the scarf looks stunning with it. However I would follow the advice from the designer that came with the scarf and avoid dangly jewelry period when wearing this. Stick to smooth pieces.

Comments about Silk Mosaic Scarf:
I purchased this scarf to give many of the pieces in my wardrobe that added "punch". The colors are vibrant and varied which gave me the opportunity to wear it with many items. It works best with a black suite or turtleneck. I receive many compliments when I wear it. The scarf did not disappoint. It makes a great statement. On the down side, it is very fragile. Do not wear it with sharp or prickly jewelry. It will catch.
