I got this to give as a gift and it looks even better than in the catalog. Very pretty and very delicate--don't know how they got it here in one piece. It looks nice as is but I do think I'm going to paint it with a nice off-white just to make it easier to clean.

I really like the Kwan Yin sculpture. I have it in my kitchen and enjoy seeing it so frequently. She is the goddess of mercy and compassion, so she reminds me to try to achieve those virtues.

This is a beautiful statue with a lot of presence. The whiteness of it adds to the serenity of the pose. It is very delicate though, so be careful how you handle it.

I bought two of them, one for myself, the other a gift. The details are exquisite and the portrayal / or the version of the Goddess is very well done.

This is a devotional statuette, most likely made VERY carefully, as a look at the extremely fine detail shows. I'm not sure what the production process is on these -- I hear they're molded, which explains how costs are held down, but still doesn't account for the scaled-down details that are very difficult to produce in such a small statuette. Most small statuettes like this are made from resin, a quick and easy pour-and-dry manufacturing process that sacrifices accurate detail. This kwan-yin is ceramic, which at once makes it harder to produce and much more beautiful. Quite a find!

I also hear that these all-white kwan-yins are intended to be painted by the recipients as a form of meditation and devotion. Although I didn't paint the one I bought (it was given as a gift), I imagine that a careful paint job to match the delicacy of the statue would enhance it's appearance even more.

I commute so I live alone during the week. This sculpture gives me the sense of home away from home. It provides strengh in times of lonliness and soothes my fears. It sits high above and is a focal point of my living space. It gives me great comfort and provides me with a connection to my family and the world at large.

It is more than I had hoped for and will be cherished for many years to come.
