No wonder this cardigan/pin cushion has been drastically reduced. In future I will read the reviews prior to purchase. I assumed the embellishment was a metallic thread or decorative pin not a lifetime supply of household safety pins. Other reduced items have exceeded my expectations. A lesson has been learnt; always check the reviews.

My mom liked the design from what she saw on the photo, but realized that the "embroidery" is made up of safety pins. Didn't read the description carefully enough, I suppose. I returned it and got a full refund. Wish Smithsonian Store provided a larger image with zooming.
