Originally represented as a woman with the head of a cat, Bastet—goddess of joy and protector of women—began to take the form of a cat during the Twenty-Second Dynasty (c. 945–715 BCE). This petite Egyptian Cat Goddess statue, with her sleek shape and regal pose, is made in Egypt from hand-molded and hand-finished polymer. Gift boxed. NOTE: Though the photo in our catalog makes the color of this item look purple-ish, the color will be black.  5.375"h. x 2.75"l. x 1.875"w.
