Sinuously shaped, this bowl is ideally styled and sculpted for serving. Perfectly, sized for cocktail nuts, candy or its more traditional function- noodles or rice. Hand turned and polished, natural bands of color will vary.

Described as a noodle bowl, this was smaller than I expected. It is pretty, but I thought it was too small. Name of it was a problem.for me.

Comments about Travertine Noodle Bowl:
This was on my [...] Christmas wish list but I didn't get it for the holiday so I took matters into my own hands. I was concerned the travertine would be thin and fragile. I was very pleased to find out it is a thick bowl with a beautiful mix of earth tones which provides tranquility to my family room. I use this bowl to display my tumbled crystals and stones and I placed it next to the gemstone tree I just bought from this site (see my review - strongly recommend that item as well.) My style in my home is craftsman and the bowl fits into the original philosophy of the architecture that homes should be organic and blend well with the environment. This item will go with other homes as well and can easily blend with a variety of decors.I am so thrilled, again, I spent more money and purchased two more. The price is excellent for the quality of item received. I consider this a great display piece that is reasonably priced. Another fine piece of arwork from Smithsonian. Keep the fun and unusual items coming.

Comments about Travertine Noodle Bowl:
We purchased two of the Travertine noodle bowls as Christmas gifts for our South Korean foreign exchange student living with us. He loves them. We will encourage him to use them but he is hesitant due to their fragiile design.

The bowl is a beautiful piece of art. The natural beauty of the stone is enhanced by the shape of the bowl. Great color with natural agate fissures.

Comments about Travertine Noodle Bowl:
I wanted a gift for my friend, who likes natural products (all cotton etc); likes smooth lines and wears a beautiful Jasper necklace. This bowl is perfect for her entryway table.
