This plush Smithsonian Teddy Bear emulates a 1903 teddy, named for President Theodore Roosevelt, and held in the American Presidency exhibit of our National Museum of American History. His arms and legs are posable. Mogul exterior, polyester stuffing. Ages 3 and up.
15"l. x 5.9"w. x 4.5"d.
Museum Provenance
Our Warshaw Collection of Business Americana contains illustrations of Victorian era rides and Christmas vignettes. Both collections are part of our National Museum of American History, Behring Center.
Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.

I ordered this teddy bear because I collect stuffed toys, and I was very satisfied, although I wish the head would move around. The arms and legs are moveable, and you can position them as needed for sitting. It is very attractive, and a good size for kids, and also no parts can come off and be swallowed, so it's safe too! I would recommend this bear for anybody of any age!

I saw the bear at the Smithsonian many years ago and have wanted a replica for my collection ever since. When I saw this one, I had to get it. It's soft, cuddly and causes smiles whenever someone sees it. Kids and adults alike can't resist it.

the teddy bear is one that I always wanted. he is well made, pleasing to look at and display and very hugible. I am very pleased with him, he is named Bailey and very collectible. I think older kids would be more likely to take care of this bear as opposed to a small child. roberta chamberlain.
