Do you think Jules the plush stuffed frog swallowed a fly? Jules just has “that look.” Because he is a comfy plush stuffed animal, you can be sure he will NOT leap up to twenty times his body length like a real frog. But he does have a lovely yellow grin and yellow webbed feet. Make a young one very happy or bring immeasurable joy to an avid collector. Soft plush exterior; polyester fiber interior; lock washer eyes. Surface-washable. Imported. Ages 3 and up. 15"l. x 8"w. x 11"h.
Museum Provenance
Members of the species of tailless amphibians, called Anura, frogs are cold-blooded vertebrate animals. It is believed that frogs have existed since the late Jurassic period, when they are thought to have developed their “hopping” gait to avoid being caught and eaten by dinosaurs. The Natural History Museum’s National Collection of Amphibians and Reptiles is among the largest and most important herpetological collections in the world.
Every Smithsonian purchase will arrive with a museum provenance card explaining how it is adapted from or inspired by an object or objects in our collection.
