I bought several of these for the big boys on my Christmas list. This toy is an alternative to electronic games and videos. You have to crank the toy to make it spark and go. Real - not virtual - interaction required. The legs are a laugh. Grandsons had never seen a toy like this before.

This was a Christmas stocking stuffer to an adult. The sparks that it generated were nothing like the photos in the ad. Powering over obstacles didn't even enter the picture since it broke within a few minutes of being opened and tried on a table and a rug.

The toy was smaller than I'd expected, better perhaps for a casual gift or museum-visit treat than for the main Christmas gift. And it didn't spark as dazzlingly as pictured. But it was politely received by the 8-year-old recipient.

This wind up toy is so cool and really works well. The critter works best on hard floors and the sparks are brightest when the spring is wound to it's tightest. We played with it before we wrapped it as a Christmas present and now we want the whole set!
