I bought this to give as a gift. I will not be giving it. The enamel part looks as pictured. However, the mirror does not have any covering. You need to keep it in the cloth cover that comes with it (pictured in red) instead of having it free in your purse; ready to check your make-up.

I received this lovely little mirror as one of many gifts from a treasured friend. It is quite beautiful, but too small and not well designed for daily use. If kept in a make-up bag the protective fabric is bound to get smudged. It could be kept in a purse pocket for easy access to check lipstick, but one must first remove the mirror from its little case, then lift the lid which makes for too many unnecessary motions when getting it out and putting it away. It is probably best used in an evening clutch. Additionally, I would not recommend this as solo gift to anyone.

This mirror is the perfect size for my pocketbook. I've had it kicking around in there without the case for a couple of years now and it's still in great shape. The hinge on it came to me a little loose, but I tend to hold it by the mirror anyway so it's not a big deal. LOVE it!

I bought several for gifts and one for myself. Everyone loves the mirror. The compact size is perfect for a purse and the folding design and the protective pouch keeps it safe.

It's pretty but I was hoping for something a bit more upscale. This was a gift for my boyfriend's mother who is over 80 and has everything. We are traveling together this spring and I thought this would be a nice gift to keep in her handbag. The mirror is colorful and very lightweight which is useful but make it appear cheap. The bag was a very thin cloth. I was also hoping the mirror clasped shut, which is does not. She lives out of town so I haven't heard whether she like it or not. A coupled it iwth a pen so it looked more substantial.

This purse mirror is lovely, but INCREDIBLY SMALL. Of course, I was too lazy to do the math, but I was surprised by its itty-bittiness. Other than that, it's a sweet little mirror, which I have purchased as a stocking stuffer (glad I didn't think it would do on its own as a main gift).
