Lamp portion of product was fine; however, shade which came separately later, had a small spot on the front. You are not allowed to return just the shade. Was told I must return the entire lamp with shade. I did not keep the box so I will have to have to take the large, heavy lamp with shade to have it packed. Of course, this will be difficult and there will be an expense. (Smithsonian Catalogue will arrange for pick it up at my home at no charge.) Buyer beware! I will not make any more purchases.

When I opened the carton to remove the lamp, it took my breath away! It is stunning. The color is fresh and can go with a multitude of decors! It is a statement piece. I put it in front of a window off my front porch and when the sunlight comes into the room, the lamp just adds a gorgeous accent to everything. I debated for awhile on whether or not to spend that kind of money on a lamp, but I just fell in love with it. And the base does resemble falling water. It is lovely and you'll find NO buyers regret here!! 8)

I love this lamp. The glass is heavy and not cheap at all. The shade is a beautiful complement. It really does look like falling water.

I bought this lamp for my living room after looking for years for just the right thing. It's beautiful. There is, however, a small fold in the fabric at the top of the shade, which is directly opposite the seam and therefore dead center in the front. I imagine I'll get used to seeing this small flaw but I don't particularly like the "dark spot" in an other wise perfectly white shade.

I use this lamp as additional lighting in my den. The torchiere we already had didn't illuminate the far corner of the room and we wanted something both decorative and useful in terms of wattage one could read by. Just perfect, and aesthetically very pleasing!
